As I said before, Barrow has the best dumpsters.
Now, because I am away from home and I miss the place (It’s too damned hot here in Vegas!) I’m going to cool down a bit and share a few of my favorite dumpsters with y’all. These are actually part of a youth project; I am told they have been doing this for about 4 years at this point.
I have to admit that there is a good one down by the High school I’ve been meaning to get for awhile now, and I just haven’t gotten around to it. Hopefully there will be more at the end of this summer.

I think so too. Hopefully, I’ll find more when I go back to Barrow.
Love the jigsaw puzzle! Cool thing they’re doing there.
It’s one of my favorites too. I’ve seen it in other villages too.
In 1998 I nearly took a job a Top of the World Montessori School in Barrow. I was living in Seattle. Shit happened. I didn’t move. Most everyone says, “God you were lucky.” I have always regretted not taking that job. I don’t know why I’ve sustained an interest in Barrow. Know of any job openings? Great writing by the way. I’m in upstate New York now. Hate it. Looking to move…elsewhere.
Well, maybe you’ll make it to the Top of the World after all. It’s worth a visit if nothing else. Thank you for the kind comments.
Creative indeed!
Thank you.
You’re welcome 🙂
Excellent! 😀
you’re very kind.
This is such a great creative thinking – turning ugly into arty! I love it! Thanks for sharing.
That was precisely my own response.
🙂
We do that to those big electric boxes that sit on so many corners. Hmmm. Gives me an idea.
I do hope you’ll share when the idea comes to fruition.
I will.
Love the photos. I have often photographed the dumpsters and rubbish bins in the nearby city ’cause I think they look interesting, but I admit I’ve never been game to do a post with the pics. Everyone expects to see my nature shots & would be stunned I think.
It isn’t so bad for people to be stunned, lol, but I’ll bet your dumpster pics would put mine to shame. If you ever do make a dumpster post, I do hope you’ll let me know.
