I don’t know why I didn’t post this way back in August. Maybe it’s because the video quality is so bad, or maybe I just didn’t notice that it was a video. Anyway, I have a small clip of some Polar Bears from Barter Island, and for all its poor quality, it is kinda neat. I present it here for your enjoyment.
(Please pardon the crappy sound.)
Even if it’s not great video, it’s still polar bears damnit, and that’s always pretty cool. Lucky you.
Well I have my eye out for more of them. Always seem to miss them though.
Awesome. I did think they were sheep at first 😆
Your blog is on my Blogs I Read page http://kattermonran.com/blogs-i-read/blogs-m-p/
Thank you Alastair. That’s very cool.
HA HA …sheep! Love it. Wildest animals in these parts are the eagles and they’re eating all my chickens.
Hello, they showed your town on TV here tonight. My wife came shouting come and see that town where that blogger fella you talk about it’s on the TV. It was some Tristram from TV land that had followed grey whales from Mexico. He said in your town you had a special way of keeping the bears out. Having read your blog I told my wife about the area where the whale carcass is left for the bears and others. My wife thinks I’m smart,so thanks for that.
Always happy to help a man impress his wife. 🙂 Somewhere in my list of drafts I still have one I started for you and the folks out your way. If you have time over the summer, I would love to follow through with that post swap. Not sure about the special way to bears out of town. They get in from time to time, actually. I always seem to miss them.
Better than any polar bear video that I’ve got. 🙂
