This was after about two and a half days of blizzard. The odd thing is that I don’t actually think it snowed, but apparently the wind blew straight at my door for awhile.

I have to admit I was a little taken aback. It had just occurred to me that I should dig my way out before the pizza guy came, and I opened the door to see just how bad it was (and that he was already there).
I decided long ago that I would never survive where you live. I loathe cold and even think 40 is too cold so…but I really enjoy your Arctic posts. Been close to there in summer but not that warm even then.
Nah, 40s is a common summer temp. …which feels hot after this kind of winter.

Saw your response in the comments about 40 being summer weather – I lived in Montana where daytime highs were sometimes as low as -26 (that was the lowest during my time there) – and you’re right when it warmed up to 20 you’d actually see people in shorts and a fleece jacket. Proves, it’s all relative. 🙂
It’s amazing what you can get used to. Every fall, I feel terrible at around zero. By Spring, I am happy to walk to work in twenty-below. …barring a headwind.
