The only wall Donald Trump ever meant to build was finished a long time ago. He built it with phrases like “lock her up” and “fake news” along with countless outright lies and bullshit stories. He didn’t put the wall on the border. It was never meant to go there. No, Trump built that wall right down the center of the nation, and each of us ended up on one side or another. Trump’s wall divides us completely from one another, and that is all it was ever intended to do.
It’s the one meaningful promise that bastard actually kept.

I’ve had to queue on the way home from work today, seems the A40 was blocked. So I pulled over and settled down in the [Parking] by the side of the road to eat some pea snacks and drink some grape juice. I had a little chat with my son and by the time I got back into the throng it was moving again.

The only thing he is good at is dividing people and causing chaos. It’s heartbreaking really.
It was easy for him to divide us because we had so many disagreements for so long. His followers made the mistake of believing his lies early on; once they were committed, they (like most of us) find it difficult to concede that they were fooled, or that they allowed their most base instincts and reactions to override the better angels of their nature.

So true. I suppose I am appalled t how many of what I thought to be reasonable people choose to drink his Koolaid so they don’t have to deal with any ‘unpleasant’ issues. This is a spoiled society, a now broken nation and no one will lookup to us for help, guidance, protection or kinship for a very long time. I cannot feel honor for what was once a symbol of freedom and opportunity to the world but has become a pop culture icon of bigotry,hatred, intolerance and pompous ego. Stick a flag on your house, your pickup, your body, your dog house or on your baby’s bottom and your ticket to gold, riches and righteousness is bought. I really feel like any touchstone to sanity I once counted on is falling away. 😞
I’ve just been looking up the life expectancy of each country, but now that has surely changed. Do we all not wonder at some point, where on the timeline our life has got to? Maybe to look perhaps to our parents perhaps to see how well they did. There is no guarantee of how long our life will be or even if there will be a tomorrow, but that each day we must not drink the Koolaid of ignorance.

Yes, Trump drove a powerful wedge into the cracks of our society by embracing the least of what we can be, stroking anti-science, furthering anti-intellectualism and pushing white supremacy. If we do not remove him this November I believe democracy is finished in our country. Let’s get out the vote and hope we can get the guy out of the White House
