…and by ‘lovely’ I mean the sound of the snow buntings that you can almost hear over the wind near the end of this video. The rest of it just makes me feel all somehow.
P.S. NARL = Naval Arctic Research Laboratories. Of course, they are no longer active, but some businesses and government agencies are housed in the old buildings and a few of us live up here. This was taken just outside our door last night.
It’s sunny and warm in McCarthy today, and all the snow is long gone, except up in the mountains. Your pic looks pretty freakin cold. Very different climates depending on where you stand in this big state of ours.
The opening still from this video could go next to “bleak” in the dictionary. I live in Napa Valley, so I should be shot for saying so.
and I thought northern Michigan had a late spring!
